| Can I earn both a teacher credential and a Master's Degree? | |
Not in the same program. The teacher credential programs allow new persons to enter the teaching profession, gain an initial teacher certification. Our Master's Degree programs are designed for advanced practitioners. They help good teachers become great teachers. In most cases, applicants to Master's Degree programs already have a California teaching credential. After completing the credential program, many students opt to enter our Masters of Arts of Teaching (MAT) program. Some units earned in the credential program count toward the MAT program, thereby giving you a jump start on the graduate degree. How can I apply for admission to the university? Yes. The application process involves two parts. You must apply to both the University and the School of Teacher Education. Applications for the School are available on our web site. To apply to the University, you apply online at CSU Mentor using the graduate application. |
