BACKGROUND
Sex: male
Ethnicity: Mexican
Born in: Mexico
Parents born in: Mexico

Growing up as a Mexican student in America was hard. I took kindergarten twice beacause they felt that I didn't have the basics down. So I was sent to ESL where I spent most of my time. I didn't have many friends except those that were also in ESL, but I was happy to be among others that understood me.

..... During the 8th grade, I was discriminated as being a native Indian. They called me Navajo, and I laughed with them and joked with them, but I was truly hurt.

The teacher ignored all the name-calling in the classroom so nothing was ever done.

If you are or know a teacher like this tell him/her that when someone calls someone else names, they should ask the students doing the name-calling why would they think the name-calling was right? And hopefully, put an end to the name-calling. Also, put those people in a group so that they may understand each other.
