..... In the 6th grade, our class teamed up with a kindergarten class. We each were assigned to a student in the kindergarten class that was to be "our' student. We met a couple times a week and would tutor our students in different areas. At the end of the year, we took a field trip to the zoo with our kinds. It was a great experience. It made me feel important and helpful and mature. My teacher organized everything. She instructed us on what to do with our students and e t the importance of our roles as teachers and mentors.
