NEGATIVE EXPERIENCEKelly
BACKGROUND

When I was in the 4th grade, I was in a 4th-5th combination class. The girls in the class were very "clicky'. The popular girls would make little friendship clubs that were
very exclusive. It was all great when I was included to be in the club, but when they changed on a whim and I was not included, I was miserable. A lot went on in the
class with the club and it was distracting to me during class time. I felt very left out.
The teacher knew what was going on. The girls would sit together whenever they could and they all had little notebooks they would pass around with notes in them in
class. The other girls that were excluded must have felt bad also. There was also a lot of teasing going one. Teachers shouldn't allow exclusive groups and teasing to
go on in the their classrooms.
