Biden Jr. to discuss the positive impact of the Building Capacity in Military-Connected Schools project. This partnership between eight military-connected school districts and the USC School of Social Work, is a four-year $7.5 million project funded by the Department of Defense Education Activity. Since 2004, Dr. Harris has presented more than 30 research papers, symposia, and workshops at regional and national conferences for postsecondary educators. Dr. Harris completed a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies at Loyola Marymount University and a Master of Arts in Speech Communication at California State University, Northridge. Since the end of the spring semester Dr. Fisher and Dr. Frey have been awarded two awards for their research and writing. In early June Dr. Fisher and Dr. Frey won the Association of Educational Publisher’s “Innovation Award” for the publication Implementing RTI with English Learners by Douglas Fisher, Nancy Frey, and Carol Rothenburg. Dr. Danforth is a Professor in the College of Education and Human Ecology at The Ohio State University. He is a well-known scholar in the field of disability studies in education. As the SDSU College of Education Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Lozada-Santone has many responsibilities and duties, and one of her favorite responsibilities is what she calls “working the late shift", which involves advising weekly meetings for the student organizations that often begin around 6:00 PM and last for several hours.
