1. Select the materials to be rewritten in simplified form. Choose an introductory or concluding portion of the text that summarizes or high-lights important points.
2. Systematically sort out concepts, key words and phrases that must be included in the paraphrased passage.
3. Rewrite to shorten sentences and word length, being sure to include the key words and phrases identified in #2.
