EET Authoring Templates
Use either of these templates to help you author an article that will meet the specifications for inclusion in the Encyclopedia of Educational Technology.
Notes for using these templates:
Download the template you wish to use. The templates are designed for use in Macromedia Dreamweaver.
Rename the "styleguide" folder to suit your own article (see naming conventions)
IMPORTANT: Do not open, modify, or delete the index.htm file in the "styleguide" folder (your article folder). Leave it untouched, but include it, as is, in the folder you submit for posting on the EET.
The start.htm file contains the content of the style guide. To author your own article, simply select and replace the style guide content with your own content, one paragraph or media element at a time, maintaining the format using only the styles from the CSS style sheet (included in the template package, above).
While you are working, keep an un-edited copy of the start.htm document under a different name in case you delete a format or other element in your own document and need to replace it or inspect the original. You can also refer to the style guide itself for format and other technical guidelines.
You may remove the family.jpg and tire.gif files. They are part of the style guide. Place your own gif, jpg, dcr, swf, mov, aif, or other media files on the top level--on the same level as the start.htm file itself.
When you're ready to submit your article, follow your instructor's guidelines or, if you are working independently, email the general editor for instructions.
