Award Winning Design! - A graduate from the Advanced Certificate Program’s pilot cohort was recently awarded the CASH Award of Merit. The design was based on his first signature project developed while a student in the program. The AIACC, in partnership with CASH (The Coalition for Adequate School Housing) announced the recipients of the 2012 Leroy F. Green Design + Planning Awards. “Striving for realistic solutions to existing problems such as dated facilities, overcrowding, rising costs, and stringent budgets, many public and private institutions are embracing proactive, holistic reforms that integrate innovative teaching methods with more effective learning environments”, says Linda C. Lenz from Architectural Record. This trend was evident in the eight projects selected for their exceptional architectural and program implementation.
Congratulations on your outstanding accomplishment Chris. We are proud to name you as a CEFPI/SDSU Advanced Certificate Program alum!
Mike Moyer, a cohort 3 Advanced Certificate Program Graduate, recently received a new position as Strategy Consultant at Wells Fargo. According to Mike:
“I was one of 30 candidates for the job, and one of the 3 finalists, narrowed to 2 when another person dropped out of consideration. One of the things that was shared with me was that theyliked my approaches and answers to difficult situations when consulting with clients, and they were impressed that I had sought additional education and certification in an area of expertise. Ithought back to all of the scenarios that we discussed in the coursework for the Cohort and I continue to see places to apply this knowledge in my daily work.”
Congratulations on your new position Mike. We are proud to name you as a CEFPI/SDSU Advanced Certificate Program alum!
