Attention SUHSD Seniors

The window to apply to any California State University for fall 2010 will come to a close on November 30, 2009. Apply today by visting www.csumentor.edu. With many changes occurring in the college arena in California, we strongly urge you to consider various options.

SDSU will continue to honor the Compact guarantee of admission; however, it requires that all benchmarks be met. It is important that you carefully consider your standing within the benchmarks:

1. Maintain continuous enrollment in the SUHSD from 9th to 12th Grade
 
2. Complete all college entrance requirements (“a-g” coursework) with a grade of “C” or better
 
3. Attain a CSU GPA of 3.0 or higher at time of application and maintain GPA through senior year
 
4. Have taken the SAT Reasoning Test or ACT Test
 
5. Satisfy the Entry Level Math Placement Test (ELM) & Satisfy the English Placement Test (EPT)

Any “a-g” coursework taken during senior year MUST be passed with a “C” or better grade. If one low grade occurs; disqualification will result.

Review the following guidelines to see if you have satisfied the ELM or EPT. If not, complete the suggested preparation and take the tests early as suggested so that you have an opportunity to retake the exams if needed. Our goal is for you to be successful. It is critical that you regard the ELM and EPT as high stakes exams and prepare thoroughly.
