Are you interested in a career in education? Would you like to learn more about becoming a teacher, a school psychologist, a school principal, a bilingual educator, or a special education teacher? Or would you like information about programs in other areas, such as rehabilitation, counseling, and educational technology?
You’ve come to the right place. The College of Education at San Diego State University offers a wide variety of programs, including those that prepare professional educators for elementary, middle, and high school positions.
The Office of Student Services serves as the college's “one-stop-shop” for marketing, recruitment, advising on education and related positions, financial aid, and credential advising and evaluation. We provide you with initial information and direction on all the programs offered by the College of Education. These services are enhanced by certificate staff who provide credential recommendation services as well as vital information regarding qualifications for additional credential authorizations, compliance with NCLB, and relationships with employers and a wide variety of educational agencies.
The office provides access to campus computers, financial aid, scholarship, and test preparation information. Advising for the Multiple Subject Credential, Single Subject Credential, and Child and Family Development program is available during walk-in advising hours or by appointment.
